The announcement of Nancy (who was called "Nannie" by friends and family) and Clifton's wedding states "the couple will be at home in Moscow, Idaho after November 15, 1894."  Nannie McDonald Cochran died November 24, 1898.
The 1900 U.S. Census for Moscow, Latah County, Idaho shows Clifton A. Cochran living with his parents, William Cochran (born in October 1839 in Iowa) and Mary Cochran (born in April 1849 in Iowa), his daughter, Nannie L. Cochran (born in November 1898 in Idaho) and his brothers, William F. (born in December 1876 in Oregon) and Walter J. Cochran (born in March 1882 in Washington).  Clifton is listed as a widower and working as a foreman in a flour mill.  It seems likely that Nannie S. McDonald Cochran may have died from complications of childbirth since her date of death coincides with Nannie L. Cochran's birthdate.
The 1910 U.S. Census for the Juliaetta Precinct of Latah County, Idaho (Moscow is the county seat) shows Clifton A. Cochran still living with his parents, William and Mary Cochran, and his now 11 year-old daughter, Nannie L. Cochran.  Clifton lists his occupation as "contractor, water works."
By 1930, the U.S. Census shows "Nana L. Cochran" as 31 years old, living in Portland, Oregon and working as a stenographer for a public utility. Her father, Clifton A. Cochran appears to have remarried sometime after 1910, as he and his
Nancy S. McDonald
wife, Myrtle A. Cochran (born in Iowa), at ages 61 and 41, respectively, are living in Portland, Oregon with their children, Mary, aged 17, born in Washington State, Clifton, aged 8 and George, aged 6, both born in Oregon.
The 1940 U.S. Census indicates that Nancy L. Cochran was still working as a stenographer for a public utility and lived as a lodger at the Martha Washington Hotel in Portland.  Her father, Clifton A. Cochran died between 1930 and 1940 as his wife, Myrtle A. Cochran, was listed as widowed in the 1940 U.S. Census.
Death records found, but not substantiated:
To the right is a remembrance of Nannie S. McDonald Cochran's life.  These were available at the local stationers in a variety of styles with spaces left open that would act as a "mat" for the family's choice of poem and for the deceased's birth and death information.  Large versions were frequently framed and secured to a stake to mark the gravesite until a permanent marker or gravestone could be made and installed.
