Family Memories
of Richard Brooks Love

"My grandfather was a wonderful, fun grandfather. He had a great array of magic tricks that he charmed us with. Since my grand-
mother had a nursery school, he built numerous play structures in their yard. They were clever and filled with whimsy. My brothers and sister and I loved to visit; it was a child's paradise."

"Richard kept notes to himself in his tie clip and made false teeth out of wood."

"One of Richard's good friends growing up in Goshen was Bob Vint, who was the first Mickey Mouse for Walt Disney. Bob spent a lot of time at the Goshen farm as a youth and would visit Richard often in later years at the farm."
Richard and Allegra were married July 15, 1930
