The Irvines became the parents of a second daughter in 1952.

In a letter written June 9, 1906 by Eleanor's mother, Margretta Donnellon Love to Eleanor and Edward shortly after their marriage, she refers to the couple as Nellie and Teddy and comments about their departure after the wedding, "you certainly did have a splendid send off.  Everyone was delighted.  You could probably hear the boys laugh over in New York," which may mean the couple was married in Brooklyn, where the Samuel and Margretta Love family resided.
According to family history, Nellie and Teddy's daughter, Eleanor Muller, was born in 1907, but died March 6 of the same year.  As of 1910, the Mullers were living at the parental Love residence at 163 Clinton Street in Brooklyn, as were Nellie's younger brother, Harry Hamilton Love and his wife, Elena.  Teddy's occupation was listed as "engineer."
The couple's second daughter, Marie Love Muller, was born March 18, 1914 in New York.  The 1920 U.S. Census for New York, New York, shows Nellie (age 40), Teddy (age 47), and Marie (age 5) living at 414 West 118th St., a
